When it came time to design our kitchen, I thought it'd be fun to use a hood as the hood above the stove. After searching at various junk yards, I eventually found the pieces on Craigslist.
I tried paying a fabricator, but when the timeline kept slipping, I reposessed my car parts and decided to do it myself. I bought a Hobart welder off Amazon and proceeded to watch every YouTube video on "How to Weld (without killing yourself)."
Below you can see me cutting it off at the point of no return after I had welded the aprts together. A frame needed to be built in order for it to be affixed to the wall. And lastly, the final piece attached to the wall.
